How to Create a Logo in Canva For Your Low-Content Publishing Brand

December 16, 2019 By Rachel Harrison-Sund

Your low-content publishing brand logo lends credibility and professionalism to your brand. But professionally designed logos are costly (I used to charge $800+ as a professional graphic designer and art director), and it’s nearly impossible to create a compelling and visually appealing logo yourself if you’re not a skilled designer.

Fortunately, Canva makes designing an attractive LCP brand logo easy-peasy using their pre-made and customizable logo templates. Once you’ve made your logo you’ll have a professional brand asset that you can use inside your book next to your copyright information, on your back cover, and on your Author Page.

Happy designing!

Alright so it’s not really a question about the topic at hand here but… how long does it take you to put together these kind of posts? Is it easy? Like did you have to research all this stuff? I’ve been wanting to start a blog myself, so just curious. Sorry not totally relevant but figured I’d ask. Thanks in advance

I usually batch a month’s worth of content (four videos and blog posts) in about 4 days, and I do that once a month. It takes longer at first if you’re not experienced with video editing and things like that, but once you get going it becomes much faster!

Thanks, Rachel. I love Canva. So, when naming a publishing company, does it have to be registered anywhere?

Hi Cindra! It’s not necessary to register your publishing name, but it’s an option if you’d like to.

Hi Rachel. Thanks for the video! I would like to create a logo that contains simplified Chinese characters and english characters. would you know what I can use besides Canva to do this, eg. create stylized Chinese characters?

Hi there! I don’t know of any specific programs to create simplified Chinese characters, but you can check out the available fonts on your computer, as well as changing the language on your computer to access simplified Chinese on your keyboard.
